Your Tour Hosts

Kaita has traveled to India several times and feels a special sense of being ‘home’ when in Rishikesh and the mountain areas.  She remembers always feeling a strong pull to this part of the world and feels a unique connection with the culture, the people, the Himalayas, and the river Ganga.

Kaita’s first journey to India, in 2008, began on a tour, led by Ragani and Dale Buegel.  She’s grateful for the experience it allowed and for the feeling of safety it provided.  After the tour, Kaita felt confident traveling to India by herself and having the best experiences of her life.  In her experience, you can’t go to India and come back without being completely transformed for the better.  India is a place like no other, the devotion and kindness of her people, the stunning beauty of her nature, and the feeling that even though it is across the world, there is a familiarity about this place that touches the soul and uplifts the spirit.

Kaita is a long-time practitioner of yoga and Ayurveda, is a licensed Massage Therapist, Health Coach, and Kirtan Artist.

She’s so excited to share her favorite spot on the globe with you.

Jackie’s long-time dream of traveling to India came true in March 2012 when she participated in a comprehensive two-week teacher training retreat in the tradition of Himalayan Yoga and Meditation at Swami Rama Sadhaka Gram ashram in Rishikesh. Following the retreat, she stayed an additional two weeks exploring the wonders of this sacred city and the surrounding area. Jackie returned to India for the second time in February 2014, spending two weeks doing volunteer therapy work with disabled dogs in Udaipur, Rajasthan at Animal Aid Unlimited, a hospital and sanctuary for street animals. The following two weeks she spent back in her Rishikesh spiritual home.
Before her first visit to India, she was offered some words of wisdom. “I was told that each visit to India will surprise you with something wonderful you could never imagine before you left. I have absolutely found this to be true and feel blessed for it!”
